I was just thinking about this subject. You see, you HAVE to believe in yourself. Because honestly, not many other people will.
At least that’s true at first. And that’s fine.
You should know yourself better than anyone else. And if you don’t then you should take some time to meditate on who you are as a person. Really look at yourself and be brutally honest with yourself.
Once you do this and you have seen your faults for all they are worth – then and only then can you really work to improve and know what you are capable of doing.
And with that bit of knowledge and that opportunity for growth you will come to know your worth. And once you know that, you will believe you can do what you’ve set out to do.
Why? Because you know you are capable.
Heck, we are all capable of what we dream of. It just takes time and effort. Two things that most people are afraid of.
There’s nothing in those words to be afraid of. Time and effort are what we are doing and using every day. So why worry about them?
Simply believe you can do it – understanding that it will take time and effort to accomplish – and then make it happen – whatever your personal “it” is.
But what about those times when you just lose faith? When you feel that you can’t make “it” a reality?
Well when those times come around you have to find some motivation and some inspiration around you. For me this comes in the form of some quotes and memories of things I’ve done in the past that were amazing.
In fact, take a second to think about a great achievement you’ve had in your past. Think about that time and where you were. How did you look? How was your life overall? What did you do and how did you accomplish it? How long did it take to get that achievement? Who was with you and who supported you through it all?
Think long and hard about those questions. Vividly imagine the memory and then grasp it! Hold on to it tightly!
That memory will serve you as inspiration now and in the future. When things look bad and you lose faith in yourself you can recall that specific memory and realize that you are amazing!
We are all amazing in our own ways. And being amazing isn’t something that just happens. It’s a habit. It’s something that you work on and do every day.
So remember that. Remember the time when someone called you amazing. Remember the time when you were cheered on and praised for your efforts. Remember the time you defied all the unbelievers and made your dream a reality.
That’s the truth of who you are – an amazing human being with unlimited potential.
You make your own reality with your willpower. Exercise that will and make your life great. You can do it! I believe in you!
You just have to believe in yourself.
